Down and Go Big
We know you like to go big, and it doesn’t get
any bigger than an 8” GDP Portal Gear Lift. That’s a heck of a lot of room for
some huge tires and a ton of torque thanks to the 45% and monstrous 60%. Your
Polaris RZR XP 1000 will feel like a whole new machine when you’re towering
over the competition and throwing up rooster tails better than anybody else.
GDP—the
Most Trusted Name in Portals
What makes GDP so good? Ask the thousands of
riders out on the trail today rocking GDP portals. With hundreds of thousands
of ride hours, there’s no portal lift in the industry that’s more used and more
trusted. More riders roll on GDP than any other portal system. If you want
trail-proven fortitude, you want GDP.
45%
and 60% Gear Reductions Are Perfect for Mud
What’s the first thing you need if you’re
serious about mud? A big lift. The second thing? Some big Assassinator Tires of
course and the gear reduction to turn them. Our 8” portals have got you
covered. You’ll have room to install huge 40” tires. And the 45% or 60% gear
reduction gives you the most extreme torque to tear up the bounty hole. That
way, you can push through and ride over deeper, thicker mud holes and take home
the bounty.
A
Gear Reduction That Protects Your Drivetrain
Portals put the gear reduction right in the hub.
That puts it after your entire drivetrain and it makes your drivetrain work
less and wear less. That means more miles out of your axles, differential,
transmission, and prop shafts.
Learn more about how tire size and gear reduction can unleash your
machine’s potential.
Better Gear Material
At the heart of a portal gear lift are, well,
gears. That’s why we made the best gears we could. They’re made with
precision-ground 9310 alloy steel. They’re top-of-the-line gears that make your
portals quiet and smooth. We made them unstoppable because that’s how you ride.
Stronger Housings by Design
GDP housings are the strongest housings you can
get because we know how to make them tough. We’ve been using them and refining
them for years—we know what makes them break and how to make them strong enough
to last. Whether you go with cast or USA-made, 6061 billet aluminum (which
looks awesome), you’ll get strength built with experience.
Our housings are reinforced in all the right places
They’re built with better oil flow and gearing forces in mind
There are no gimmicks and no vents because vents do more harm
than good—we know because we tested them
The Strongest Portal Backing Plates You Can Get
If you want portals that will stand up to years
of hard riding and abuse, you need GDP. The backing plates use an advanced
steel that you can’t find anywhere else. It’s stronger than chromoly and 5/16”
thick—AKA this thing is going to outlast the rest of your side-by-side no
matter how you ride.
Advanced Gaskets and Seals
Whether you go with cast or billet, both
housings use:
Advanced Thermo-Tork® gaskets with excellent oil resistance and
a lower deterioration rate than Kevlar gaskets
A sealed input gear and double-lipped output seal
100% sealing coverage throughout so you can forget about oil
leaks
Bearings That Rock
A bad bearing is the fastest way to ruin your
ride. That’s why we went with the best for the output—a double-angular contact
bearing that can withstand huge forces from any angle. That means years of hard
riding and hard hits with no premature wear. It’s one more way we make sure GDP
is the best.
Universal Hubs and Slotted Rotors
Our precision-ground, stainless steel slotted
rotors stay cool to give you the braking power you need when you need it. They
come with 4/156, 4/137, 4/115, and 4/110 bolt patterns and lugs—you can fit
wheels built for almost any side-by-side on these hubs. We made them that way
to make your life easier. We invented the tapered output shaft that our hubs
attach to. It provides a more secure lock that won’t wobble or wear over time.
Frame Stiffener Required
You need a SuperATV Frame Stiffener with your
8" Portal Gear Lift. The stock frame just doesn't have what it takes. Bump
too hard and the OEM frame will bend. Trust us—we've done it. A frame stiffener
reinforces your frame enough to let you ride your 8" portals with monster
tires and no worries.
