DIRECTIONS: Complete directions are printed on each container label.
To clean fuel tanks and prevent premature fuel-filter plugging: If possible, pump or drain excess water and fuel contaminants from bottom of fuel tank until diesel fuel appears. If your fuel tank does not have a bottom drain, see suggested pump-out procedure detailed below. Depending on container size, add the following: 16 ounces (Part No. 9216-09) of Clear-Diesel to each 20 gallons, 32 ounces (Part No. 9225-06) to each 50 gallons or 80 ounces (Part No. 9280-06) to each 125 gallons of fuel in the tanks. To maintain a clean fuel tank and stabilize fuel for long-term storage: Depending on container size, add the following: 16 ounces (Part No. 9216-09) of Clear-Diesel to each 40 gallons, 32 ounces (Part No. 9225-06) to each 100 gallons, or 80 ounces (Part No. 9280-06) to each 250 gallons of fuel tank capacity. Fill tank with diesel fuel.
To clean fuel tanks and prevent premature fuel-filter plugging: If possible, pump or drain excess water and fuel contaminants from bottom of fuel tank until diesel fuel appears. If your fuel tank does not have a bottom drain, suggested pump-out procedure detailed below. Add one gallon of Clear-Diesel to each 500 gallons of fuel tank capacity. Fill tank with diesel fuel. To maintain a clean fuel tank and stabilize fuel for long-term storage: Add one gallon of Clear-Diesel to each 1,000 gallons of fuel tank capacity. Fill tank with diesel fuel. PUMP-OUT PROCEDURE: If your fuel tank does not have a bottom drain, use the diagram and instructions below to build a pump-out system to remove water and fuel contaminants from the lowest point of the fuel tank.
Access to the inside of fuel tanks can be accomplished through fuel fill orifices, fuel level/gauge sending units or fuel tank inspection plates. |
