The difference in the stage 1.5 is the 30% over larger nozzles. The 30% nozzle allows more fuel to exit the injector quicker into the combustion cycle which increases horsepower even further. The injector has a limited time to inject fuel into the cylinder for the combustion cycle. We measure this time in milliseconds. With a larger nozzle we can inject more fuel per millisecond into the cylinder for combustion, which creates more power. The downside to a larger nozzle is the extra fuel creates more heat and black smoke. So the larger the nozzle the more EGT's are created and the need for more air upgrades are needed.
These injectors in the 94-97 Ford Powerstroke will increase horsepower from 100-155hp to the rear wheels with a custom tuned performance chip. The stock AA injectors for the 94-97 OBS Powerstroke flow approximately 90cc of fuel. The stage 1.5 injectors can double your fuel flow reaching up to 180cc. The gain in power in substantial with the stage 1.5 injectors over the stock injectors. Stock AA injectors are limited by fuel delivery and even with performance tuning only about 235 hp total is the limit of the gains. With the extra fuel of the stage 1.5 injectors the increases can be up to 380hp total horsepower.
Please be sure to choose the flow rate for your injectors. You can choose 160cc or 180cc. The 160cc flow rate is for less smoke and 20-25 hp less than the 180cc option.
In the 94-97 OBS we recommend choosing the 160cc option if you have a stock turbo and stock intercooler.
With the addition of the OBS 66mm turbo upgrade or intercooler we suggest the 180cc option.
Each injector comes with a new nozzle, New Tungsten coated plunger and barrel assembly, new springs, and as needed more internal wear parts are replaced if needed. Flow tested and matched down to a 1% variation at idle and wide open flow.
New internal and external O-rings are installed.

180cc vs 160cc:
180cc is the best choice for most OBS trucks. The only time we recommend the 160cc injectors is in high altitude locations or for the customer that don't want a large power increase. The only benefit of the 160cc is the a completely stock OBS truck will see large gains without needed (recommended) exhaust or intake modifications. The stock injectors have an effective flow rate of 90cc.
Shipping charges include a return label for your cores if you have not selected to send in cores first.
If you have selected to send in cores first before your product ships it is the customers responsibility to ship cores in.
Full Force Diesel does not charge any other fees to repair your core injectors.
