Banks brings Ram-Air cooling to the heavy-duty Allison 10L1000 transmission for 2020-2025. Using technology from our patented differential covers, the Banks Ram-Air Transmission Pan extends fluid oil life by rejecting more heat than stock and all competitors. An additional three quarts of capacity, a break-away Ram-Air scoop, and Banks FlowThru Fins™ aid in cooling. Cooler fluid means a longer-lasting transmission.

  • The Banks Ram Air Transmission Pan for 2020-2025 Duramax trucks with the 10-speed 10L10000 transmission outperforms and outcools the competition by leveraging decades of Ram-Air technology and thermal management expertise honed in racing and military engine development.
  • Taking advantage of the fast-moving cool air under your truck, the Ram-Air Transmission Pans' Patent Pending design draws ambient air through the large forward-facing scoop, funneling it through the external heat radiation fins.
  • Even with the larger 10 speed Allison transmission tucked between the frame, the Ram-Air Transmission Pan is engineered so that the lowest point is only the sacrificial front scoop while still providing 3 additional quarts of fluid capacity.
  • The plastic scoop is also designed to break away without causing damage to your pan, just in case. If this happens to you, let us know and we will send a replacement Ram-Air scoop on the house.
  • 1/8" NPT port for easily adding a supplemental temperature sensor to your vehicle.
  • 22 deep-cut external radiator fins provide more exposed surface area to the cool air moving under the truck.
  • Integrated support structure for internal filter acts as anti-slosh baffles for fluid in the pan.
  • 20 internal fins absorb more heat from the oil than a standard pan or all other aftermarket pans.

Banks vs The Competition
What happens when the Ram-Air goes against the competition? While others claim to have massive cooling ability with their designs featuring fins that cross haphazardly across their surface with no consideration for fluid dynamics, the Banks Ram-Air still comes out on top in total internal and external fin area. What all others lack though, is the forward facing Ram-Air scoop to help guide the air under your truck directly through its die-cast FlowThru Fins™ which further enhances heat transfer out of your fluid and away from your transmission. No other pan is as well engineered.

Die-Cast vs Sandcast
All Banks lubrication cooling products are die-cast, not sand-cast like competitors. Made with far greater precision, a die-cast part is denser, smoother, and has virtually no porosity compared to the equivalent sand-cast part.
Sand-cast parts often retain the sand they were molded with. Sand is an abrasive material that is bad for bearings and cylinder walls. In other words, you don’t want sand in your oil. Finally, our long, thin cooling fins are only possible with a die-cast process. Although this process costs more, it's worth it.
