Fits: 2011-2019 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke

The Mahle B32580 is a gasket for the oil filter housing/oil filter adapter. In other words — the seal between your engine and the oil-filter housing or adapter assembly. It’s a “direct-fit” / OEM-spec replacement. It’s made of oil-resistant material, designed to handle the heat and pressure that come with diesel engine lubrication systems.

The oil filter housing (or adapter) houses the oil filter and channels engine oil through the filter before returning clean oil to the engine. The gasket is what seals the housing to the engine block (or adapter to housing) so oil doesn’t leak out. A proper, intact gasket ensures oil stays where it belongs — through the filter media and back to engine components — which is critical for engine lubrication, preventing wear, maintaining oil pressure, and avoiding oil loss. Over time, heat cycles, oil exposure, and vibration can cause the gasket to degrade (crack, harden, compress), so replacing it during maintenance prevents leaks and helps ensure long-term reliability.

You remove the oil filter housing (or adapter) — for any maintenance, repair, or inspection — because the original gasket seal loses integrity when disassembled. You notice oil leaks around the filter housing area — a worn or failing gasket is a common leak point.
