It has a standard full flow oil filter, in addition to a bypass style (sub2-micron) filter in one housing.
Basically, you could say it is the equivalent of a "bypass oil filtration system, without the extra hoses".

This filter is generally marketed as an Agricultural Kubota filter, but it will fit in place of the standard oil filter on any 1989-2018 Dodge 3.9L, 5.9L or 6.7L Cummins engine.
