The power and torque that modified 5.9L Cummins engines deliver can crack or even shatter the stock flex plate. BD's new Black FleX-Plate is designed to reliably handle up to 1,500 lb.-ft. of torque. Featuring twice the material of the stock flex plate, these units are forged billet, precision-balanced and SFI approved for use in race sanctioning bodies.

The flex plate is what connects your engine to the torque converter, and the factory component is only meant to handle the output of the stock engine-not the high torque loads that can easily be produced by a modified engine.

Now with Black Oxide coating that resists corrosion and prevents hydrogen embrittlement that can cause cracking. These new style units will fit any OEM or aftermarket torque converter and affordable enough to replace with converter or transmission swap. The BD Black FleX-Plate fits all 1994-2007 5.9L Cummins engines and is a direct, bolt-in replacement for the stock unit.
