The Sportsman Pump starts out life as a brand new, 6.7L Cummins-based Bosch CP3 (this means no core pump is required on your part). Exergy then outfits it with the appropriate upgrades to support 650-rwhp. The key benefit to the Sportsman CP3 is its ability to flow at higher engine speeds—up to 4,500 rpm (vs. stock, where the factory pump begins to fall off after 3,000 rpm). The Sportsman is perfect for trucks with mild injector upgrades, hot EFILive tuning files, and owners who don’t want to break the bank to make a little horsepower.
5.9L Cummins installations will require some feed line & return line tweaking for proper fitment if you use a stock lift pump and feed line.
