One rail plug CNC machined for the fuel rail on a dodge cummins engine. Also known as a race fuel valve.
This plug replaces the factory banjo bolt mounted on the top side of the pressure relief valve (which is on the top of the fuel rail).
The pressure relief valves are known to leak and rob you of your fuel rail pressure! Leaking allows fuel pressure to bleed off the fuel rail and recirculate back to your fuel tank. This cost you hp and fuel mileage! Replacement of your stock banjo bolt with this rail plug will prevent the fuel leaking thru the relief valve to get back to the tank, the fuel is forced thru the injectors. Some users have noted an increase of 1,000 to 2,000 psi of rail pressure just after the quick installation of this plug.
Can be installed in less than 5 minutes using only a 3/4" wrench.
This rail plug can also be used as a tool to determine if a pressure relief valve has completely failed. If your truck won't start, but will after installation of this rail plug, then you know the pressure relief valve has failed. Not only did you identify the problem, but you fixed it. And without a new pressure relief valve from the dealer which will cost you around $450!
This fits the newer common rail fuel systems used on 2003-2007 Dodge 5.9L Cummins diesel trucks.
Even if you don't suspect a problem now, installing this rail plug will prevent you from having problems in the future.
