94-97 Dodge 5.9L Cummins XDP Main Stud Kit

Fits: 1994-1997 Dodge 5.9L Cummins

These are 14MM. SOME late 1997 trucks have 2 turbo drain ports on the passenger's side and feature 12MM main studs. These WILL NOT work in those applications unless you drill and tap the block for 14MM studs. 

Swap out the factory main bolts on your 1989-1998 Dodge 5.9L Diesel 12-Valve with the XDP Main Stud Kit XD3016MS. The XDP main studs feature high-quality 8740 Chrome Moly construction that also includes a proprietary element added for upgraded strength and durability.

A tensile strength between 220K psi and 236K psi and a yield strength between 210K psi and 230K psi ensures these studs can handle the increased performance of upgraded applications. In addition, the threads are rolled after heat-treating to deliver optimum fatigue strength.

Upgrading from the OEM main bolts to studs also allows you to obtain a much more accurate torque reading. A bolt gets twisted as it is tightened, so it's reacting to two different forces at the same time. With a stud the force gets applied to the vertical axis, resulting in a more even clamping force.

Furthermore, they provide for easier engine assembly and proper alignment of the main bearing caps every time. These studs are also reusable unlike OEM Torque-To-Yield (TTY) bolts which must be replaced after each use.

Studs are manufactured in an ISO/TS 16949 quality control facility. Included with the studs are washers and 12-point nuts. Assembly lubricant sold separately.
