The DFC Diesel Remanufactured Tow/Haul HD Series Long Block Crate Engine enables your 2004.5-2007 Dodge 5.9L Cummins (Automatic & Manual) to support up to 900 horsepower. Featuring critical upgrades, the Tow/Haul HD Series maintains its high performance capability with no drawbacks to reliability. To ensure that every engine is built to the same high quality standards, DFC uses only the best cores and rejects components that require considerable "restoring". As a result, you get a reliable and durable engine that is guaranteed to perform. Each DFC Engine is machined using advanced Rottler machining equipment and is built to tolerances that are more precise than the factory OE specifications.
DFC engines are usually matched with near identical weight piston and connecting rod assemblies. As a result, you get a smoother running engine that creates less noise and feels more balanced. This remanufactured Long Block includes new pistons, rings, bearings, and seals.
Each 5.9L Cummins Tow/Haul HD engine comes standard with an O-ringed cylinder head. The Tow/Haul Series engine features improved gasket sealing methods in common leakage areas and prevents piston failures caused by faulty injectors with increased piston cooling. Ceramic coated piston crowns and dry film coated skirts reduce piston wear and ensures the Tow/Haul HD Series sustains it's high level of perfromance. Featuring ARP series 2000 head studs, the Tow/Haul HD Series includes either the Colt Cams stage 3 camshaft or the Hamilton Cams 178-208 for added strength. Additional upgrades to the Tow/Haul HD Series include Hamilton Cams 103lb HD valve springs, DFC HD push rods, and a bolt in rear aluminum freeze plug. The Tow/Haul HD Series also features Wagler connecting rods, Fluidamper, HD flexplate, and balanced rotating assembly.
DFC replaces each valve guide with a new cast guide in every cylinder head. Instead of just a re-grinding used valves, DFC installs all new valves from high quality sources like MAHLE or SBI. To address common cracking areas in the cylinder head, DFC also machines each head to remove the factory hardened seat material. DFC then installs new SBI valve seats to help eliminate premature cracking, giving you a more durable cylinder head.
DFC engines are remanufactured by diesel enthusiasts and are built for diesel enthusiasts. To show their pride in workmanship, DFC offers one of the most comprehensive warranties in the industry. Each DFC Tow/Haul HD Series Long Block Engine comes standard with a 5-year, 100,000 mile warranty.
